There are many events and people who have shaped the Restored Church and taking the time each year to memorialize them creates a lived experience of remembering and connecting with the core teachings and values of the church. The goal of liturgy, and of creating a uniquely LDS liturgy, is to sanctify our daily lives and embed the message of the gospel deeply into our hearts and lifestyle.

Thomas S. Monson
Thomas S. Monson was President of the Church from February 3, 2008 to January 2, 2018. He was involved in significant changes to Church procedure and global outreach, both before and during his time as President.
